Stacking the Shelves #46, Sunday Post #43, Sunday Salon #37

Hey bookish friends! How are things going for you? This weekend is going to be full of packing as the moving truck comes in one week!!! We DID get a house last weekend, in our second multi-offer bid 🤦 Picture below!

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

NetGalley (I still have one request pending from when I broke last week 😂):

Library:

Kindle Freebies: none

Book Mail: none

Bought: (as if I didn't have enough books to pack up 😂)

Gifted from a friend as a going away gift:

Other updates

I added 4 books to my Goodreads shelf this week.

I finished 5 books this week and managed to get in all the reviews (I probably should have been packing!).

Our new house in Brunswick, Ohio (anyone live near there? Anyone know anything about the area?!):

  6. I had high hopes for Ever Faithful, but I thought it was disappointing. Maybe I expected too much. And Dear Henry, Love Edith looks really good.

Beautiful new house. I wish I knew something about your new town. Honestly, I don't even know anything about Ohio!

    1. Thanks Deb. I have been learning about parts of Ohio since my daughter has been in college there the past few years, but this area is totally new!

  17. Ah packing. And books. Packing books. Those darn boxes get SO heavy, so quickly. Every time we've moved, I tend to shrink my personal library of books I've already read. The last move, I only took books I haven't read yet and had a 'friends & family' book giveaway and just had people stop by and shop my shelves. That actually turned out to be quite fun AND got rid of lots of books to good homes. Hope your move goes smoothly. And at the end of the day, put your tired feet up and read a few pages! :)
Thanks for the visit - especially when you're so busy.

    1. Thanks Terrie. I have a Free Little Library (that I am leaving here) so I do cull my books out. It still ends up being a lot though, LOL!

  18. Good luck with packing. I moved a lot at one point and so I have gone to mostly digital books, other than the 19 bookcases all ready full. I have good friends in Dayton and Columbus OH. Samantha the Book Disciple is in OH but I'm not sure where in Ohio. I hope your move goes slowly. Packing and unpacking are how I first started audiobooks and now it's at least half my reading.

  20. Oh your new house is lovely Cindy!! Wow! I wish you only happiness and love there. Good luck with all the packing and moving.... Always an upsetting event, no matter how excited you are.

Of course you still had to buy new books. You never know how long it's going to take you to unpack the other ones!

Have a wonderful week and best of luck!
