Top Ten Tuesday-My top favorite books I read in 2025

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic isMy Favorite Books I Read in 2025. I added 66 books to my favorites shelf on Goodreads, so this is going to be kind of hard to narrow down. I am not going to count the books that were rereads, which makes the number a little lower. Also, a huge thanks to Erin at Cracker Crumb Life for sending me Strawberry Fields for Never by Kate Watson. I can't wait to read it!! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Top Ten Tuesday-My top favorite books from 2025

Nonfiction:

The Intentional Year by Glenn Packiam and Untangle Your Emotions by Jennie Allen

Delighting in Jesus by Asheritah Ciuciu and The New Loneliness by Cindi McMenamin

Blessed are the Spiraling by Levi Lusko and A Place of Quiet Rest by Nancy Demoss Wolgemuth
Historical Fiction:

Hope Like Wildflowers by Pepper Basham and Echoes of a Silent Song by Amanda Wen
The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion (Vol 1-8) by Beth Brower, yes, I binged the entire series. Book 9 is supposed to be released sometime this year.
Amish Fiction:
A is For Amish by Shelley Shepard Gray (and B is for Bonnet)
Magical Realism:

The Serendipity by Emma St. Clair, I still need to read several more in this series. Not a genre I normally read, but I really enjoy Emma's writing.
Contemporary Fiction:

The Romcom Remake by Jen Atkinson and Old Town Symphony by Milla Holt

The Double Play by Annah Conwell and Everything's' Coming Up Rosie by Courtney Walsh

Bram Baxter Marries the Wrong Sister by Latisha Sexton and Some Like it Scot by Pepper Basham

An Overdue Match by Sarah Monzon and First Love, Second Draft by Becca Kinzer

Autumn by the Sea (Muir Harbor whole series) by Melissa Tagg and Turtles in the Road by Rhona Rhea
Suspense:

One Final Breath by Lynn H. Blackburn and Storm Warming by Elizabeth Goddard
Christmas:

Single All the Way by Kate Watson and The Gratitude Guarantee by Jordan Millsaps

12 Days of Mistletoe by Jen Atkinson and A Very Merry Matchup by Becca Kinzer

While You Were Skiing by Megan Byrd and Acting Merry by Martha Keyes
Planning for Nickie by Tasha Hackett
I tried not to repeat authors, or put more than one book from the series. I didn't narrow it down enough, but I have no regrets. All the reviews are on my blog and on Goodreads, I just don't have the time this week to link them here.

What topic did you do today? I would love for you to share in the comments. To see what other topics our bookish friends are doing this week click on the image below.

  7. I've read a few of these! I'm glad you found so many new favorites in 2025. I only had nine 5-star reads from 2025, so those are the books I showcased in my post this week! https://thissideofstoryland.blogspot.com/2026/01/top-ten-tuesday-five-star-reads-from.html

  9. I read A is For Amish and B is for Bonnet in 2024. I’m a little behind so still need to read the 3rd book. Excellent series! I really enjoyed Mills’s book. An Overdue Match is an incredible read too. I really enjoy seeing that we have some of the same taste in books.
