Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

Other updates:
I finished five books and DNFed one this week. I am constantly asked how I finish so many books a week. Well, I listen to audiobooks when I commute to work, and take my morning walks. Currently I am finishing about one a week. Then, I have several nonfiction books going at the same time, and they take me weeks to finish, but because I am in several, I might finish one this week, and one next week. I also read at least an hour before bedtime. There is typically not a day that goes by that I don't read/listen at least 2 hours out of my day. That is progress that adds up. I am currently in the middle of reading seven books, five are nonfiction (two are commentaries, and they take months to go through). On another note, I am not technically participating in the Classics Spin Challenge, but the number spun was 18, and The Sovereignty of God is 18 on my list, so I am going to attempt to read it by October (posting here so I am accountable, LOL!).
What you might have missed on the blog this week:
Book Review: Hope for Tomorrow by Elizabeth Maddrey
TTT: Book Series Catchup
Book Review: Cool Beans by Erynn Mangum
Book Review: The Way It Should Be by Christina Suzann Nelson
Book Review: Latte Daze by Erynn Mangum

Oof, always a shame when something comes to an end like that, re: the book club. Hope you do indeed have some restful recovery time this weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicky!
DeleteI love that you shared how you read. I struggle not to compare myself to others but I am always curious about how some manage their time to finish books. I agree that just committing to reading an hour a day really adds up. As do those audiobooks!
ReplyDeleteShellie, we all have seasons where we can read more. When my mom passed I barely read a page in 2 weeks. Reading is important to me and I make time for it. It is hard to compare, there are people who read way more than I do, and I question it as well, LOL! Thanks for stopping by!
