Can't-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we're excited about that we have yet to read. Typically they are books that have not been released yet. It's based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. This week I am showcasing The Memory Quilt by Lenora Worth. It's expected to release November 30, 2021. It is the first book in her newest series, Shadow Lake. It does not sound like your "typical" Amish read and I look forward to this unique story line!

My Review:

I was not sure if Meri and I were going to get along when the first words out of her mouth was that she hated My Best Friend's Wedding!!! However, I quickly forgave her as she explains why she hates it and how she and Julia Roberts are alike.

My Review:

A Class for Laurel by Amy Clipston 

Laurel is excited when she gets to Colorado. It was her first train ride and she was thrilled with all the new sights she had seen as she traveled from Pennsylvania. She is looking forward to being a teacher and the opportunity to teach in a new community.

My Review:

While this is the second book in the Hearts of Lancaster County series, it can be read as a stand-alone novel. I would recommend going back and reading the first book, The Amish Midwife's Hope, before beginning this one. I did not read the first book and feel that I would have enjoyed this story, even more, had I read it first.
