January Reading Wrap Up 2026

January was a dumpster fire and I don't think I have ever been so ready to flip the calendar to a new month! I won't recap here all the bad from the month, but I will talk about all the books I read. I read 18 books and DNF'd 2. Click on the cover of the book if you are interested in reading my review.

I am not participating in reading challenges this year (except my yearly Goodreads goal). I do have a few goals I am tracking, like focusing on reading books I already own. Overall, a decent reading month, and a great start to reading what I already own, and things from the TBR.

  1. I'm so sorry to hear you had a bad month, Cindy! I hope your February is better. At least it looks like you got to read a bunch of lighthearted, fun romances–reading is such a blessing when times are rough.

    1. Thanks Joy, last year my goal was 48 and I managed 63, I am hoping to read more than 50, but if I don't have a target, I won't reach it.

  4. About that How to Winter book - I wonder if there's one for summer. That's when I really struggle so I can use some "instructions" on how to get through it. I'm not participating in any challenges either, except for the Goodreads goal, but I am tracking various aspects of my reading just for fun. Here's to a fabulous February! :)

  5. Hope February is better for you than January was! Looks like a lot of your reads were good, such cute covers. Eleanor will probably want most of them, lol

  7. I flipped our calendar to February when we still had a few days left in January! I was ready for it to be over. You still managed to read a TON of books though. :)
