Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Genre Freebie. I decided to go with book preorders. I have never done a post like this before, probably because I rarely do preorders (money has always been tight). But, this year, there are a handful of books (7!) I can't wait to get my hands on, so I decided to do preorders. I love being able to support authors in this way, and trust me, I understand not everyone can. I also love supporting my library! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.
Top Ten Tuesday-Book Preorders for 2026

Cross Words by Chautona Havig releases 3/9/26 on Kindle, but it available in paperback now. My copy is supposed to arrive today. This is part of her Book Strings series, which I have loved.

Claire Holloway Is Winging It by Angela Ruth Strong releases 3/17/26. I met Angela Ruth Strong at JustReads Rendezvous in 2024 and she was talking about writing this book. I was excited to see it was being released this year.

The Bookshop of 99 Doors by Jaime Jo Wright releases 4/7/26-do I need to say more? I LOVE Jaime's books.

Not What We Pictured by Becca Kinzer 4/21/26-Becca Kinzer is quickly becoming an auto-read author. I have read and enjoyed everything she has written so far.

A Brewed Awakening by Pepper Basham releases 5/5/26-Pepper Basham is another one of my favorite authors. If she writes it, I will read it.

CrossBones by C.C. Warrens releases 5/15/26 (happy anniversary to me!)-You have seen me talk about C.C. Warrens around here (and if you haven't, this is one of my all-time top suspense series). I am BEYOND excited that she is releasing another Holly novel this year! I am planning to reread all of them in anticipation of this one!
Bookmarked for Love by Sarah Monzon releases 7/21/26 (2 days after my birthday, happy birthday to me!) I have enjoyed this bookish (library) series and can't wait for this one. I also LOVE that it is a curvy girl represented.
Now, lets be honest. Another reason I have not always done preorders is because I have worried I would not like the books, and then I will have wasted my money. That is still a fear I have and I have already been burned this year with a book I bought and it ended up being a DNF. But, I feel pretty confident that if I don't love these particular books, I will still like them. Do you do preorders?
