Top Ten Tuesday-Book Preorders

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic isGenre Freebie. I decided to go with book preorders. I have never done a post like this before, probably because I rarely do preorders (money has always been tight). But, this year, there are a handful of books (7!) I can't wait to get my hands on, so I decided to do preorders. I love being able to support authors in this way, and trust me, I understand not everyone can. I also love supporting my library! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Top Ten Tuesday-Book Preorders for 2026

Cross Words by Chautona Havig releases 3/9/26 on Kindle, but it available in paperback now. My copy is supposed to arrive today. This is part of her Book Strings series, which I have loved.
Claire Holloway Is Winging It by Angela Ruth Strong releases 3/17/26. I met Angela Ruth Strong at JustReads Rendezvous in 2024 and she was talking about writing this book. I was excited to see it was being released this year.
The Bookshop of 99 Doors by Jaime Jo Wright releases 4/7/26-do I need to say more? I LOVE Jaime's books.
Not What We Pictured by Becca Kinzer 4/21/26-Becca Kinzer is quickly becoming an auto-read author. I have read and enjoyed everything she has written so far.
A Brewed Awakening by Pepper Basham releases 5/5/26-Pepper Basham is another one of my favorite authors. If she writes it, I will read it.
CrossBones by C.C. Warrens releases 5/15/26 (happy anniversary to me!)-You have seen me talk about C.C. Warrens around here (and if you haven't, this is one of my all-time top suspense series). I am BEYOND excited that she is releasing another Holly novel this year! I am planning to reread all of them in anticipation of this one!

Bookmarked for Love by Sarah Monzon releases 7/21/26 (2 days after my birthday, happy birthday to me!) I have enjoyed this bookish (library) series and can't wait for this one. I also LOVE that it is a curvy girl represented.

Now, lets be honest. Another reason I have not always done preorders is because I have worried I would not like the books, and then I will have wasted my money. That is still a fear I have and I have already been burned this year with a book I bought and it ended up being a DNF. But, I feel pretty confident that if I don't love these particular books, I will still like them. Do you do preorders?

What topic did you go with this week? I would love for you to share in the comments. To see what other topics our bookish friends are doing this week click on the image below.

  1. I'm probably going to preorder a book that doesn't seem to be coming to my library any time soon. I'm going to order it today from an independent bookstore so that's win-win in my mind. Thanks for reminding me to do that, Cindy!

    1. Deb, yes, ALL the support to indie bookstores! I order directly from the author when I can as well :)

  6. Full price books are very rarely in my budget unfortunately so preorders are even rarer

    1. Shelleyrae, I totally understand that! Most of these were 40% off of the full price, otherwise there would be less!

    1. Aj, it's awful that we have to choose between bills and books, isn't it?!

  10. You really have preordered this many books so far this year? I rarely preorder books but I do get in line at the library for soon-to-be published new titles. I guess it is sort of the same thing. But that means I rarely get them the minute they are out.

  12. I hope you enjoy reading all of these when you get the chance. I don't tend to do pre-orders. I have so many books already, that I feel guilty buying new ones.

    1. Pam, I 100% understand that. The guilt is real. I have been working SO hard to get my TBR of physical shelves down. It was over 200 unread books when I started, and it's around 130 now. My goal for this year it to get it under a 100.

  13. I don't tend to do pre-orders either, though I can see why you're excited to read all of these. Especially Bookmarked for Love and The Bookshop of 99 Doors. :D

    1. Lark, it's not something I get to do very often, and probably won't carry forward, but it was so fun to be able to do it this time.

  14. Awesome list, Cindy. I preorder books from authors whose work I enjoy, but it's rare for me to preorder a book from an unknown to me. Thanks for the reminder for The Bookshop of 99 Doors. I need to grab that one!

    1. Cheryl, I did make the mistake of an unknown to me, but I probably won't do it again, no matter how good the book sounds.

  15. Preorders is something I've had WAY too many of and then next-to-none through the years. I like to think that I balance it out by purposefully backing off at times, but I'm not sure. ;) All this to say, this list is SO fun and next time I need a bookish list topic, I need to use this too. ;) Thanks for visiting my list today.

  18. I don't do many pre-orders (my last was in 2022 and I still haven't read the book!), though I do like to reserve them at the library pre-release which is similar. I like the look of Not What We Pictured - happy reading :)
