Stacking the Shelves #180 Sunday Post #177 Sunday Salon #171

Hey my bookish friends! How was your week? I did a lot of relaxing last weekend, and walking (almost 6 miles), so I did not get any packing done, oops. But, I did get some done on Tuesday. On Wednesday the contract on our house fell through, so it is back on the market again. We had two showings last night (Friday), and we will see what the weekend brings. While our house was being shown my husband and I went to Barnes and Noble 😁. On my agenda this weekend is some packing, my daughter is coming home to spend the night this afternoon, and will leave first thing tomorrow, more relaxing, hopefully some walking...

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks! And audiobooks. The Stacking the Shelves meme is hosted at Reading Reality.

Johnny Tremain is our book club pick for August.

Bought: The three romcoms I have already read, but wanted for my keeper shelf, so I bought them at Barnes and Noble last night.

Other updates:

I finished two books this week and DNF'd one. I also did an update on my family blog this week as well.

What you might have missed on the blog this week:

I am also linking up with the Sunday Post. The Sunday Post is a blog news meme hosted at Caffeinated Reviewer. I will also be joining Deb at Readerbuzz for the Sunday Salon.

What books have you added to your physical or virtual bookshelves? I would love to hear from you. Click on the icons below to join in on the fun. Have a great weekend!

  1. That is some good walking you got in, I'm trying to get more walk time in too. So sorry to hear about that contract falling thorough. Will you keep it on the market or take a break and try again in a few months? Fingers crossed for you.

    1. Tina, we will keep it on the market. I am listening to audiobooks when I walk and it helps keep me going.

  6. Johnny Tremain was a book that I read as a kid, repeatedly, because I owned a copy. It gave me a good grounding in American history.

  16. Bummer about that house. That is discouraging, but it means God has something better waiting for you. A B&N trip sounds lovely. Enjoy your books this week.

  18. I remember reading Johnny Tremain for the first time when my son in sixth grade recommended it. We used to show the movie to our fifth graders long ago.

  19. Selling a house and moving is so stressful! You seem to be holding up pretty well. And I'll take any excuse to hang out at Barnes & Noble ;)

  20. I had gotten into a walking routing but then my sister visited and that threw me off and now we've got wildfires in the area and I don't want to walk with the smoky smell (It's luckily only been truly bad one day, but any excuse for staying inside and reading will do, right?) Good luck with your house!
