DeleteNice! I have Daddy-Long-Legs on my list today by the same author as Dear Enemy, which I also loved! I haven't seen that cover before though, I like it a lot more than the others I've seen!

DeleteThe Penderwicks were a huge hit with parents when the first book appeared on our state reading list. There's something about the series that takes us all back to a gentler time, I think.
ReplyDeleteDeb, yes, we listened to the whole series when my kiddos were young. It was a gentler, simpler time, even though they had their share of hardships.
