Hey bookish friends! How are things going for you? We are on vacation and will be traveling for the next 9 days. We are starting in Indianapolis for a quick visit with some of my family. Then we will go to Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. We are excited, we haven't been to these three states before. Have a wonderful weekend!

Sunburst is the second book in the Sky King Ranch series. I HIGHLY recommend reading the first book, Sunrise, before diving into this one.

First Line Friday #54- The Buy-In

Happy Friday, my bookish friends! Any plans for the weekend? We are going on vacation 😁 We will drive 10 hours today to Indianapolis, spend the night and visit with family in the morning. Then we will head to Illinois, driving some of Route 66 and stopping by the Route 66 Museum. Sunday we will start a trek to Wisconsin where we will spend the next week exploring (going into Minnesota a bit too), until a wedding next Saturday, then spend Sunday and Monday driving home. I'm excited and exhausted just thinking about it, #introvertproblems.

I am NOT usually a re-reader but I am super excited about the second book, so re-reading the first one to savor the books longer 😂.

My review:

I wouldn't exactly call the first lines gripping as Elysium Tide starts in the middle of a surgery, but I was fascinated (even though I am squeamish). I found Elysium Tide fast-paced, unpredictable, and hard to put down.

Top Ten Tuesday-Authors who taught me to enjoy historical fiction

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is books I wish had an epilogue. While this is a great topic, it's not one that I think much about. Usually I am pretty satisfied with the endings. So instead, I am going to discuss historical fiction authors that I am trying to catch up on.
