First Line Friday #46-Forbidden Truth

Happy Friday, my bookish friends! Any plans for the weekend? My daughter is home for the weekend and we are going to her grandparents house tonight and if the weather permits spend some time on the lake tomorrow! Have a great Easter weekend!

Welcome back to First Line Friday hosted by Carrie at Reading is My SuperPower!! I am also linking up with Gilion on Rose City Reader for Book Beginnings. This is where you share the beginning of the book that you are reading. To join in the fun grab the book you are reading and leave a comment with the first line (or your link).  This week I am reading Forbidden Truth by Debra Torres. It is the second book in her Willow Brook: Secrets of the Pen series.

Can't Wait Wednesday-The Sweet Life

Can't-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we're excited about that we have yet to read. Typically they are books that have not been released yet. This week I am sharing The Sweet Life by Suzanne Woods Fisher. It is the first book in her newest series, Cape Cod Creamery, and is set to release May 3, 2022. I love her books and can't wait to see what happens in this one!

Top Ten Tuesday-Authors I Want to Read

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is top ten authors I want to read. There are MANY authors that I keep saying I am going to read but haven't gotten around to yet. I will try to limit the list to ten. 😂   Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Top Ten authors I haven't gotten around to yet AND I own a PHYSICAL copy of

Erynn Mangum (I own 6 of her books!)

It's Monday! What are you reading? #8 '22

Happy Monday, my bookish friends. It's been a while since I have participated in this meme.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is a place to meet up and share what you have been, and are planning to read over the week. It’s an opportunity to visit and comment and add to your TBR pile! This meme is hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date. I am reading The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah. I read it back in 2018 and since it is my book club's pick for April I am rereading it.

Stacking the Shelves #18, Sunday Post #15, Sunday Salon #10

Hey bookish friends! How are things going for you? We just got back from a quick trip to West Virginia. Thursday was my son's 17th birthday so we took him to see his favorite comedian, Tim Hawkins, perform. (I will put a picture of him in this post, if you have never seen him or heard of him, look him up, he is so funny!) We had a blast but my body is demanding recovery (I have an Oura fitness ring that tells me when my body is stressed and I have  been at my lowest "readiness" level for a few days, so it tells me to rest and recover). Today my son is having a few friends over, followed by the family birthday party. What are your plans for the weekend?
