Reading challenges-50 books a year

Happy Saturday, friends! How are things going in your neck of woods? Things are going well here. It's much cooler than it has been and my husband and I got some much needed work done early this
morning, after dropping our son at work at 6:30 (it should be against the law to be at work that early on a Saturday 😉😂). But, on the plus side, we were productive, LOL!

First Line Friday #26-A Deep Divide

Happy Friday! My hope for this weekend is to continue trying to catch up as I am still behind on some of my deadlines (but almost caught up)!! What are your plans for this weekend? Welcome back to First Line Friday hosted by Meez Carrie at Reading is My SuperPower!! To join in the fun grab the book you are reading and leave a comment with the first line (or your link).  This week I am reading A Deep Divide by Kimberley Woodhouse. This is the first book in the Secrets of the Canyon series. It was published October 5, 2021. I am about halfway through the book and enjoying it. I love books about the Harvey Girls!! They fascinate me.

A Most Peculiar Circumstance

Title: A Most Peculiar Circumstance (Audio)

Series: Ladies of Distinction #2

Author: Jen Turano

Narrator: Justine Eyre

Publisher: Tantor Audio

Genre: Historical Fiction, Christian Fiction, Humor

Source: Library

My review:

While A Most Peculiar Circumstance can be read as a stand-alone novel, I highly recommend reading Turano's first book in the series, A Change of Fortune. Most of the characters in this book were introduced in the first book.

Can't Wait Wednesday- Much Ado About a Latte

Can't-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we're excited about that we have yet to read. Typically they are books that have not been released yet. This week I am sharing Much Ado About a Latte by Kathleen Fuller. It releases January 4, 2022.

Top Ten Tuesday-New Authors

Happy Tuesday, friends! The theme for today's top ten Tuesday is if you like this then I recommend that. This was another hard one for me to wrap my head around, I just don't have the mental capacity for it. So, I decided to do a twist on it. So far this year I have read 132 new to me authors! I can barely wrap my head around that amount, but I was working on a reading challenge and it introduced me to new authors. So, I am going to try to narrow that down to the top 10 that I loved and can't wait to read more from/catch up on their backlist. Hopefully this will introduce you to a new author as well. To find out what our other bookish frJo are doing for Top Ten Tuesday check out That Artsy Reader Girl.
