Title: Delighting in Jesus: Rhythms to Restore Joy When You Feel Burdened, Broken, or Burned-Out

Author: Asheritah Ciuciu

Publisher: Moody Publisheres

Genre: Christian Nonfiction, Self-help,

Source: Moody Publishers

My Review:

Delighting in Jesus is the first book I have read by Asheritah Ciuciu, but it will not be my last. It is one of those books that touches you so profoundly that it is hard to find the right words to write a review, but I am going to do my best.

Top Ten Tuesday-Marriage of Convenience

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Books that Include/Feature [insert your favorite theme or plot device here] (for example: unreliable narrators, coming of age, darkness vs. light, time travel, metafiction, a specific romantic trope, good vs. evil. cliffhangers, flashbacks, plot twists, red herrings, loose ends, stories within stories, meet cutes, symbolism, etc.) (submitted by Alice @ The Wallflower Digest) I really enjoy the Marriage of Convenience trope, so that is what I am going to share about today. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Abridged Classics

Title: Abridged Classics: Brief Summaries of Books You Were Supposed to Read but Probably Didn’t

Author: John Atkinson

Publisher: Harper

Genre: Graphic Novel, Humor, Nonfiction, Books about Books

Source: Library

My Review:

Abridged Classics: Brief Summaries of Books You Were Supposed to Read but Probably Didn’t is not a book I would typically read. However, upon seeing the title, I thought this would be a book about classics I could actually read. I was right.

The Serendipity

Title: The Serendipity

Series: Only Magic in the Building #1

Author: Emma St. Clair

Publisher: Create if Writing, LLC

Genre: Contemporary Romance, RomCom,

Source: Own

My Review:

I am starting to think Emma St. Clair could write anything and I would enjoy it. The Serendipity is the first book in a multi-author series Only Magic in the Building. I am not normally a "magic" person, but, again, Emma St. Clair, plus the fact that it wasn't talking animals, or flying people, it was more teleportation and enjoying the story for what it is.

Stacking the Shelves #159, Sunday Post #156, Sunday Salon #150

Hey my bookish friends! How was your week? Mine was A WEEK. My nephew went to the hospital last Saturday with a cough he has had for 2 months, on Tuesday he was diagnosed with cancer! A bit more on that below. My son is having friends over this evening, the worst timing with time-change, but thankful he has the opportunity. I will be hiding in my room with my books and computer 😁.

Betsy

Title: Betsy: Miss Grumps Don't Fall for Mr. Sunshines

Series: Sewing in SoCal #5

AuthorSarah Monzon

Publisher: Radiant Publications

Genre: Christian Fiction, Romcom, Contemporary Romance

Source: Own

My Review:

Betsy is the fifth (and final!) book in the Sewing in SoCal series by Sarah Monzon. While each book can be read as a stand-alone novel, I recommend reading them in order as the friends are in each book and the timeline continues to build. Otherwise, you will get minor spoilers from the earlier books.
