Twice Sold Tales (reread review!)

Title: Twice Sold Tales

Series: Bookstrings #1

Author: Chautona Havig

Publisher: Havilah Press Publications

Genre: Books About Books, Christian Fiction, Contemporary Romance,

Source: Own

My thoughts upon reading for the second time:

My second reading of Twice Sold Tales was even richer than my first reading. I recently read the novella Spines and Leaves which gives us great background on Milton (the book doctor) and Atticus (his parrotlet).

Stacking the Shelves #128, Sunday Post #125, Sunday Salon #119

Hey bookish friends! How are you doing? I am exhausted (so what else is new 😂). I hope to do some work this morning, then rest, read, blog, and crochet for the rest of the day and after church tomorrow. Fingers crossed that everything goes according to the plan.

The Reconciliation

Title: The Reconciliation

Series: The Amish of Southern Maryland #3

Author: Susan Lantz Simpson

Publisher: Kensington Books

Genre: Amish, Christian Fiction, Contemporary

Source: Library

My Review:

While The Reconciliation is the third book in the series, it can easily be read as a standalone novel. I have read the sixth book and now this one, and I do not feel like I have missed anything.

Secondary Target

Title: Secondary Target

Series: The Secrets of Kincaid #1

Author: Angela Carlisle

Publisher: Bethany House

Genre: Christian Suspense, Christian Romance, Contemporary

Source: Bethany House

My Review:

Secondary Target is Angela Carlisle's debut novel. However, she writes like a seasoned writer. I was captivated by the first scene and had a hard time putting the book down to get anything else done.

Gia and the Blast From the Past

Title: Gia and the Blast From the Past

Series: The Gustafson Girls #4

Author: Becky Doughty

Narrator: Becky Doughty

Publisher: Bravehearts Press

Genre: Christian Fiction, Romance,

Source: Hoopla

My Review:

Gia and the Blast From the Past is the fourth and final book in the Gustafson Girls series. I highly recommend reading them in order since each book builds upon the one before it, and this is an epic conclusion to the series! Just as in the previous books, Becky Doughty narrates this one as well and I am in awe of how she kept each character's voice unique and consistent throughout the series.

Stacking the Shelves #127, Sunday Post #124, Sunday Salon #118

Hey bookish friends! How are you doing? I thought I was going to have more time to read and blog this week than I actually did. Technically, I was on a mini-vacay and went to TN with my family to visit my sister and her family, and my brother and his family. There was not much downtime, and we spent all day today (Saturday) traveling home. We did make time to go to McKay's while we were there, but instead of going to the one in Knoxville, we visited the one near Chattanooga, which was a nice change.
