Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is: My
Favorite Books by My Favorite Authors (Pick your ten favorite authors and
your favorite book written by each one of them.) (submitted by Cathy @WhatCathyReadNext) I am not sure why Cathy did this to us, doesn't she know it's going to be SOOOOO hard to narrow down? However, I love the topic because we will be highlighting our favorites!! I think we can all agree that our favorite authors change as our reading tastes change, so I am going to go with my top ten favorite authors right now, which is still going to be difficult to narrow down! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.
Top Ten Tuesday-MY top 10 most favoritist authors ever + favorite book by them (clicking on the book cover will take you to my review)
1. C. C. Warrens-I am torn on what book to pick as my favorite. I have read all of her adult novels (she has started writing some children's mysteries). Criss Cross is the first book I had ever read by her and the first in her Holly series. This is still one of my all-time favorite series. But, I think Crossroads might have edged out Criss Cross as my favorite. This series should be read in order.
2. Pepper Basham-I have read most of Pepper's books and I am going to go with the second book of hers that I read as a favorite. I do tend to prefer her contemporary stories over the historical fiction, and I tend to rate them higher, but Hope Between the Pages was an excellent read and what made me want to read more of her books.
3. Jaime Jo Wright-I have read almost all of her books (I have 2 of hers I still need to read), and I have loved most of them. Out of the 14 books of hers I have read, seven of them have been 5-star reads. But, I *think* my favorite might be The Haunting at Bonaventure Circus. 4. Emma St. Clair- I started with her Love Cliche' series, but The Buy-In (and series) are my absolute favorites! I am not much of a re-reader, but I have read The Buy-In three times, and will read it again before the final book releases (sometime this year!). The humor in her books is top notch!
5. Megan Walker-Is a new author, so maybe I shouldn't count her as a favorite, but I have recently read three of her books and now must read them all! If that isn't a sign of a favorite, I don't know what is. Miss Newbury's List was the first book I read by her.
6. Jen Atkinson-I think Insta-Boyfriend is the first book I ever read by Jen, and I loved the series. I have since read most of her backlist and I am doing my best to keep up with her books as they come out. I love the humor in her stories as well.
7. Elizabeth Goddard-I have read books by her for years. Storm Warning is probably not my favorite of all the ones I have read, but it is my most recent favorite, which was easier than trying to sort through them all. I love her suspense, light romance, and at times humor as well.
8. Becca Kinzer-I have read everything she has written (except her latest release, but I own it and will read it soon). The humor and heart in her stories just makes me happy. I also love that they are all standalone novels. Dear Henry, Love Edith made me laugh so much. Typically, I don't like misunderstandings, but theirs were hilarious.
9. Melissa Tagg-another author that is a current favorite and I am reading my way through her backlist. I loved the Muir Harbor series, and A Seaside Wonder was my favorite. It is also a series that needs to be read in order.
10. Lynn H Blackburn-Is another author that I have read for years. One Final Breath is my recent favorite of her works. She writes fantastic suspense novels.
In some ways I don't feel like these are the right ten authors, but like I said at the beginning, it is hard to narrow down. What topic did you go with this week? I would love for you to share in the comments. To see what other topics our bookish friends are doing this week click on the image below.
I can’t remember the last time I saw a toaster on a book cover. Fun!
ReplyDeleteLydia, LOL! It makes it memorable.
DeleteI'm with you on Becca Kinzer! I'm still waiting for Not What We Pictured from my library. It says I'm first on the waitlist, but it's been over a month! I'm wondering if it's still on order. Also, I had to add The Haunting at Bonaventure Circus to my Goodreads TBR–that cover and title, plus your recommendation, got me intrigued!

Karis, I really enjoyed The Haunting at Bonaventure Circus, it was SO good! And, yes, I almost started Not What We Pictured yesterday, but the title was striking too close to home right now, LOL!
DeleteI’m not familiar with any of these authors, I appreciate the recommendations
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your #TTT
Thanks for stopping by, Shelleyrae!
DeleteWhat planet am I living on? All of these are new to me.
ReplyDeleteDeb, there are SO many books/titles/authors, I am sure we will see a gazillion we have not heard of today.
DeleteI've been thinking about you. How are things going concerning the vertigo? Hopefully you are finding answers.
ReplyDeleteHi Anne, thanks for asking. I am improving! I have my second PT session this afternoon.
DeleteI agree that narrowing this list down to 10 was so hard! :)
ReplyDeleteLindsey, right?! But, fun to highlight some of our favorites!
DeleteI've had The Haunting at Bonaventure Circus on my TBR for a while.

Pam, I hope you enjoy it when you get to it!
DeleteI still need to read more by Melissa. But I did enjoy the books I read by her. :) Thanks for visiting my list today!
ReplyDeleteRissi, I have one out from the library, and another out from Kindle Unlimited...I need to get to them soon!
DeleteThis was definitely a hard prompt to narrow down! I gave it a ton of thought and still feels wildly incomplete. Ah well, it is just a moment in time.
ReplyDeleteMelis, I understand that completely! Thanks for stopping by!
