Hey, my bookish friends!!  How are you all doing? I am thrilled to say that we FINALLY found a house and signed a contract last weekend!! It is a new build and should be finished in a few weeks (the couple building it were not able to sell their house). It has been a week of paperwork, trying to process this news, and yes, I have already started packing a few things. The agenda for this weekend is to relax before things get crazy. What are your plans for the weekend?

While this book looks like a light and fluffy escapism read, it is anything but. The story deals with abandonment issues, infertility, pregnancy complications, loss, anxiety, and more.

Meredith is hard to relate to at the beginning of the story. I am not that far from fifty-two, and I can't imagine moving into a senior living trailer park as a means to settle down.

Warning: this book starts slowly. It took me a while to get into it, and I kept wondering if I would enjoy it. I kept reading because I loved Kit Tosello's first book, and I am so glad I did not give up on this one.

My Review:

Battling the Bluestocking is the third book in the Donovan series. While it COULD be read as a standalone novel, I highly recommend reading The Art of Victory and A Confirmed Rake first.
