Stacking the Shelves #98, Sunday Post #95, Sunday Salon #89

Hey bookish friends! How are you all doing? I had another busy week, which did not allow for much reading. I am REALLY hoping things settle down soon. We finally found out what the problem with my car is. It blew a hole in a cylinder in the engine. We have no idea how, but are still praising God that we were not hurt!! Still no word on when we will get the car back. I am planning for a relaxing Saturday, and Sunday evening we are headed to Mount Vernon, OH, to hear my daughter's choir perform Handel's Messiah. What are your plans for the weekend?

November Reading Wrap Up 2023

November passed in a blur of work, travel, car troubles, and my son's ongoing recovery. I had some reading duds, but overall I think I had a decent reading month. I read 13 books (low for me) and DNFed 1. Click on the cover of the book if you are interested in the review.

Top Ten Tuesday- Circus stories

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Books Set In X (Pick a setting and share books that are all set there. This could be a specific continent or country, a state, in outer space, underwater, on a ship or boat, at the beach, etc.)  I decided to go with stories sent in or around the circus. I recently read three, so went on a search for others! Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Stories set in or around the circus theme:

The first three I have read, if you click on the cover it will take you to the review.

Stacking the Shelves #97, Sunday Post #94, Sunday Salon #88

Hey bookish friends! How are you all doing? I had another busy week, which did not allow for much reading. I worked all day Monday and Tuesday, then had a doctor's appointment right after work on Tuesday. When I finished that I had to pack for our trip. On Wednesday we set off for VA to see our friends that are like family (we've known them 15ish years). We got there Wednesday afternoon and left Saturday morning. It was a wonderful time of catching up, playing games, eating a wonderful Thanksgiving feast, and listening to our young adults laugh and enjoy each other's company. It was too short of a visit, but we are so thankful for the time we get. I am hoping to rest Sunday, before going back to work again on Monday. (I am still getting used to this new work schedule. I have to say I am not a fan of working Mondays, LOL). What are your plans for the weekend?
