Top Ten Tuesday-Top books read for the first quarter of 2024

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday Characters I’d Like to go on Vacation With (Pretend you’re going on vacation and can bring 10 of your closest friends with you. Pick your vacation spot and tell us who you’d like to bring! Bonus point if you tell us why. Or maybe you like the idea of traveling in small groups, so plan 10 trips or 5 trips!)  I don't have the best memory for remembering characters and honestly wouldn't want to go on vacation with most of them. Therefore, it will be a week where I go off topic again. Today, I will be sharing my Top books read for the first quarter of 2024. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Top Ten 9 (out of 72) books read for the first quarter of 2024 (in no particular order, click on book cover if you would like to see my review)

The Scarlet Pimpernel

Title: The Scarlet Pimpernel (audiobook)

Author: Baroness Orczy

Narrator: Michael Ward

Publisher: Puffin Books

Genre: Classic, Historical Fiction

Source: Own & Hoopla

My Review:

The Scarlet Pimpernel by Baroness Orczy is not something I would have picked to read. I read it because it was the classic for my book club this month. The only problem is that I don't typically enjoy classics, and I don't typically read from this period. So, my enjoyment was doomed from the beginning.

Stacking the Shelves #116, Sunday Post #113, Sunday Salon #107

Hey bookish friends! How are you doing? I am not as on top of the reading and blogging as I would like to be. This month is kicking my tail. My daughter had a choir concert Sunday night that we went to (an hour away) and she had a musical showcase last night (an hour and a half away) that we went to as well. She is graduating college in 3 weeks and it is A LOT right now, but we don't want to miss all the final things. I am still working 6 days a week, but I think we are almost to the end of that.

Narrator: Nancy Peterson

Publisher: Bethany House and Tantor Audio
