Loving Lovina

Title: Loving Lovina

Series: The Infamous Amish Series #3

Author: Patricia Johns

Publisher: Kensington Books

Genre: Amish, Christian Fiction, Romance

My review:

Loving Lovina is the third book in The Infamous Amish series. Ideally, reading the first two books before this one would be best. It can be read as a stand-alone novel but there is a lot of backstories.

In the Field of Grace

Title: In the Field of Grace

Author: Tessa Afshar

Publisher: River North

My review:

In the Field of Grace is based on the story of Ruth and Boaz in the Bible. It stays true to the Biblical accounts while fleshing out the story. It is a slow and easy read.

First Line Friday #40-To Disguise the Truth

Happy Friday, my bookish friends! Any plans for the weekend? This weekend I am planning to rest on Saturday, trying to recover from the busyness of the last week and a half...hopefully catch up a little bit too. Welcome back to First Line Friday hosted by Carrie at Reading is My SuperPower!! I am also linking up with Gilion on Rose City Reader for Book Beginnings. This is where you share the beginning of the book that you are reading. To join in the fun grab the book you are reading and leave a comment with the first line (or your link).  This week I am reading To Disguise the Truth by Jen Turano.

Can't Wait Wednesday-High-Wire Heartbreak

Can't-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we're excited about that we have yet to read. Typically they are books that have not been released yet. This week I am sharing High-Wire Heartbreak by Anna Schmidt. It is book 6 in the Doors to the Past series, where each book features a dual-timeline period romantic suspense story set against a historic American landmark. They all stand alone and do not need to be read in order. As I was writing this post I realized it published 1.1.22, but since I have not been able to get my hands on it, I can't wait to read it 😉 I have really enjoyed the other books I have read from this series and have high expectations for this one!
