Top Ten Tuesday-Last Ten Books I added to my Goodreads TBR

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Books I Read On Vacation (bonus points if you tell us where you were!) (Submitted by Dedra @ A Book Wanderer). Since I haven't been on a real vacation in quite some time I am not feeling the topic. I thought about tweaking it to 10 books I would read on vacation, but that would just be my Fall TBR list. So, I decided to do a previous prompt that I have not done: The Last 10 books added to my Goodreads TBR. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

The last 10 books I added to my Goodreads TBR:

Amish Jane Doe

Title: Amish Jane Doe

Series: Inspirational Cold Case Collection

Author: Shelley Shepard Gray

Genre: Christian Fiction, Suspense

Publisher: Love Inspired

Source: Author Provided

My review:

I knew from the title that Amish Jane Doe would have a unique storyline. I have read a TON of Amish fiction, but never one that featured a cold case. This is a series of books under the umbrella of inspirational cold cases. I would love to read more of these novels. I love that while they are a series, they each stand alone.

Edgewater Road

 Title: Edgewater Road

Series: The Rumors in Ross County #1

Author: Shelley Shepard Gray

Publisher: Blackstone

Genre: Fiction, Mystery, Romance

My review:

Edgewater Road is unlike any book I have read by Shelley Shepard Gray. Her typical genre is Amish Christian romance, so this one took me by surprise. This is the first book in The Rumors in Ross County series a contemporary fiction romance.

Stacking the Shelves # 7/Sunday Post #4

Hey bookish friends! I hope your weekend is going well. We finally got our first snow last night (since 2018!), yay!! It was not a lot, about 3 inches, but it was enough to put my son on a 4 hour delay for work (lots of ice because of the low temps), so we played some games this morning.

Best of the Best 2021

Today I am participating in the Top 10 of 2021 hosted by Kimberly Faye Reads. Today's topic is the best of the best books. I am excited to share my favorite reads of 2021. They were not necessarily released in 2021, I just read them in 2021. As of today I have finished 251 books and it will be difficult to narrow it down to just ten, so I am going to cheat just a little bit and do a couple of different categories. The books will not be in any particular order.

The Best Fiction I read this year:

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas weekend! I did. I am now at my sister's house in TN, so not a lot of time to do a post. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is your favorite reads of 2021 and since I don't have a lot of time today, I will do that topic on Thursday. You can see all the details at That Artsy Reader Girl. Since I am also  participating in the Top 10 of 2021 hosted by Kimberly Faye Reads, I will do today's topic, which is cover love. The topic for Thursday is top reads of 2021, which is why I will do that one then 😀 You can see all the details at That Artsy Reader Girl. However, before I get into today's post I would love to take a minute to thank The Story Enthusiast and Ashley@therusticreadinggal for being Santa and sending me a book 😀 I was beyond thrilled to receive them!

An Amish Quilting Bee

Title: An Amish Quilting Bee

Authors: Amy Clipston, Kathleen Fuller, Shelley Shepard Gray

Publisher: Zondervan

Genre: Amish, Romance, Christian Fiction

Source: Net Galley

My Review:

These trio of ladies are some of my "auto-read" authors. I love Amish stories and I always find these ladies' stories to be heart-warming. From the beautiful cover to the pages in-between, you get a cozy vibe, and want to curl up under a quilt, with a hot drink, and enjoy the stories.

A Christmas Courtship

 Title: A Christmas Courtship

Series: The Berlin Bookmobile Series #3

Author: Shelley Shepard Gray

Publisher: Gallery Books

Genre: Christian Fiction, Amish, Christmas, Christian Romance

Source: Net Galley

My Review:

While this is the third book in the series it can be read as a standalone novel. However, the Bookmobile and the librarian, Sarah Anne, are in all the books, and it would be best to start at the beginning and see how Sarah Anne started with the Bookmobile, how her life has changed from the beginning, and how she changes the lives of those who come into her bookmobile.

Christmas at the Amish Bakeshop

Title: Christmas at the Amish Bakeshop

Author: Shelley Shepard Gray, Rachel J. Good, Loree Lough

Publisher: Kensington

Genre: Christmas, Christian Fiction, Christian Romance

Source: Net Galley

My Review:

This is a great collection of Christmas novellas. I love how Rebecca's  Porch is used in all three stories, even though the novellas are written by three different authors. I appreciate the way that the authors collaborated to bring the stories together.
