Top Ten Tuesday-Next 10 reads

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is books on my summer 2022 to-read list. I have already done a post like this when I signed up to read 20 books for summer. So, today I will be doing my next 10 reads in order that I need to read them. This helps me because I have a few deadline books and needed to do this anyway 😂 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

My Next 10 reads:

Hey bookish friends! How are things going for you? I am doing well, writing this week from Wisconsin. Today is our last day here and we will be attending a wedding this afternoon and will start the trek home tonight, tomorrow evening we will spend the night in KY and arrive home (NC) sometime Monday evening. We have gone through/visited 8 states (started NC, TN, KY, OH, IN, IL, MN, WI) and had a blast seeing a lot of cool things...hope to do that update soonish!

Find Your People

Title: Find Your People: Building Deep Community in a Lonely World

Author: Jennie Allen

Genre: Self-help, Christian Nonfiction, Christian Living

Publisher: Waterbrook

My review:

I will start by saying while this is Christian nonfiction, it is not preachy. Jennie's answers aren't "find God" or "go to Church" or anything like that. This book is helpful for anyone who is lonely, whether spiritual/Christian or not.

While this is a great topic, I am not able to gift books this time, so I don't feel right putting my list out there. I am on vacation and meant to schedule a post but ran out of time so this one will be quick. Today I am doing library books that I have requested and my library has bought them! First Line Friday #54- The Buy-In

Happy Friday, my bookish friends! Any plans for the weekend? We are going on vacation 😁 We will drive 10 hours today to Indianapolis, spend the night and visit with family in the morning. Then we will head to Illinois, driving some of Route 66 and stopping by the Route 66 Museum. Sunday we will start a trek to Wisconsin where we will spend the next week exploring (going into Minnesota a bit too), until a wedding next Saturday, then spend Sunday and Monday driving home. I'm excited and exhausted just thinking about it, #introvertproblems.

I have already read this book and am re-reading it because the second book, The Bluff has just been released. I wouldn't exactly call the first lines gripping as Elysium Tide starts in the middle of a surgery, but I was fascinated (even though I am squeamish). I found Elysium Tide fast-paced, unpredictable, and hard to put down.

Top Ten Tuesday-Authors who taught me to enjoy historical fiction

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is books I wish had an epilogue. While this is a great topic, it's not one that I think much about. Usually I am pretty satisfied with the endings. So instead, I am going to discuss historical fiction authors that I am trying to catch up on. I picked this topic because I always say I don't care much for historical fiction, but my reading shows otherwise 😂 Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Books With a Unit of Time In the Title (seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, eternity, etc.) (Submitted by RS @ The Idealistic Daydream) I am going to give this one a shot and hope I can come up with 10.
