I love Denise Hunter's books, and this one is no exception.
Author: Skye Jethani
Genre: Christian Nonfiction, Christian Living, Bible Study
Publisher: Moody Publishers

My Review:
I thought with the size of this book, it would be a quick and easy book to read. I was wrong. While it can be read quickly , because it does not have a lot of pages, you would miss so much. What If Jesus Was Serious? A Visual Guide to the Teachings of Jesus We Love to Ignore is best to be read slowly, thinking over each section.
Author: Emma St. Clair
Genre: Romance, Contemporary Fiction, Young Adult, RomCom,
Publisher: Emma St. Clair

My Review:
You all know by now that I love Emma St. Clair's writing. I have not read her earlier works (yet), but I have loved everything I have read of hers in the last year or so. I have been looking forward to this one since I bought it (December 2021), and I am happy to say it didn't disappoint!
Can't-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we're excited about that we have yet to read. Typically they are books that have not been released yet. This week I am sharing Edward and Amelia by Karen Thornell. It is expected to be published June 6, 2022.
Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is book is book quote freebie. At first I was going to skip this week's prompt and do something different, but I decided to give it a go. If you want a fast-paced, quick read that will have you on the edge of your seat, look no further. I have read several of Parks' books, and they have all been five stars. I am happy to say that this one will join that club as well.

The View from Coral Cove caught my attention from the beginning. We are introduced to Maya as a young girl (in the prologue) and then the story begins with adult Maya.

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is books I was SO excited to get but I still haven't read (bonus points if you tell how long it's been since you got them). Can't-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we're excited about that we have yet to read. Typically they are books that have not been released yet. This week I am sharing The Bluff by Emma St. Clair. It's no secret that I LOVE her books and I can't wait to read this one!! It is the second book in the Graham Brothers series. It is set to release September 30, 2022. It will also be free on Kindle Unlimited!!!
Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is bookish characters (these could be readers, writers, authors, librarians, professors, etc.). I read this wrong and thought it was any type of character in a book, so I decided to focus on brides. After rereading the topic and understanding it, I decided to stick with brides because the books I could think of that had bookish characters are all ones that I have talked about here, several times over. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.
Ten Books with Brides on them that I own:

Any
plans for the weekend? My son is performing in a music concert Saturday morning (as long as it does not rain) and my in-laws will come over for lunch. If it rains it turns into a new plans day with the whole family home since both kiddos (my daughter got back from college Monday evening) had taken off for the concert. Other than church we have no plans for Sunday. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there!

My Review:
The Storekeeper's Daughter is the first in the Daughter's of Lancaster County trilogy. There is stuff that happens in this book that is not resolved until the third book. All three books are deeply connected.

Happy May, my bookish friends!!! I can't believe the year is almost half over! My daughter has finished up her semester at college and my son will be graduating high school soon. To say time is flying is an understatement. How was reading month? I had a mixed reading month.
