My Review:

 I loved The Simple Difference. I think what we all need right now is more kindness, making Becky Keife's book very timely. God gave the idea of this book to Becky long before a pandemic hit and the timing of the release could not be more relevant.

I love the cover of this book and thought the top of the cover had cobwebs on it (it doesn't look closer). I love the picture of the town, it's beautiful with its vivid colors.

My first thought is that I don't really read books with numbers in them. Then I thought it would be too hard and almost switched the topic.  I always enjoy visiting Deep Haven. I appreciate the obvious affection the community members have with each other and checking up on the people we have met in previous books. Each book can be read as a standalone, but you would have a greater appreciation for all the characters by reading the series in order.

I was a bit turned off when I first started to read the story, but once I got a bit more into the story it made so much more sense, and fit the story. So, if you feel the same when you start it, let me encourage you to give it more time, it is a great story.
