April was another weird, busy month. I feel like I did a lot of reading again this month, so let's see what it actually looks like 😂. I read 17 books and DNF'd one. Click on the cover of the book if you are interested in the review.

Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Most Anticipated Releases for the first half of 2024. I am going to narrow it down to first quarter releases. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.
Most Anticapted New Releases for the first quarter of 2024:
At the beginning of the year I listed my 2023 Bookish goals. I am very much a type A personality. When I set a goal I have every intention of getting it, and I feel this internal pressure to finish what I started. As the year progressed, I was really feeling pressure to hit my book challenges, but had lost sight of my reading goals. So, let's see how I did!
Happy Tuesday my bookish friends!! Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Favorite Books of 2023. I am not going to try to narrow my favorites down to ten. With over 40 books added this year to my favorites shelf on Goodreads, I will do my best to narrow it down to a reasonable number. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

On the personal side, October was a hard month with my son's surgery and ongoing recovery, and having had (and still have) bronchitis for the last two weeks. I had some reading duds, but overall I think I had a decent reading month. I read 22 books and DNFed 1. Click on the cover of the book if you are interested in the review.

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Secondary/Minor Characters Who Deserve Their Own Book. I stink at these lists so I am doing more books on my fall TBR. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.
I already made a September TBR list here, I have read or DNFed 6/10 books from that list. Last week I did a Fall TBR 1.5 list and I have sent back to the library 5 of those books, and read 2 out of the other 5. Here is my fall TBR 2.0 list:
August found me with more reading time...although the month still flew past.
I finished 21 books again in August and DNFed 4. Audio books really helped my numbers this month, as did a few short books. I am back to my average 😊. Click on the cover of the book if you want to read my review.

Series: Extreme Measures #4
Author: Lynette Eason
Publisher: Revell
Genre: Christian Fiction, Suspense
Source: Revell
My Review:
Countdown is a fantastic conclusion to the Extreme Measures series by Lynette Eason. It can be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading the whole series.
Series: Extreme Measures #3
Author: Lynette Eason
Publisher: Revell
Genre: Christian Fiction, Suspense, Contemporary Romance,
Source: Library
My Review:
Critical Threat is the third in the Extreme Measures series. While it could be read as a stand-alone novel, the series follows four friends and would be best to be read in order.

Happy Tuesday, my bookish friends!! I hope you all are doing well. Today's Top Ten Tuesday topic is Most Anticipated Books Releasing During the Second Half of 2023. (So apparently this was last week's topic, so it's my freebie 😂) There are SO many great books coming out just this summer that it will be hard to limit it to ten. Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and you can head over there to see what our other bookish friends are up to today.

April was a good reading month! I had some days off this month and more time in the car, so I was able to get in a few more audiobooks than normal. I also finished up a few series and tried several new authors.
I finished 22 books this month. I did not have any books under three stars or any DNFs!!! Click on the book cover if you want to read my review.

Series: Elite Guardians #4
Author: Lynette Eason
Genre: Suspense, Christian Fiction,
Publisher: Revell

My review:
Chasing Secrets is the last book in the Elite Guardian series. It can be read as a stand alone novel, but all the previous elite guardians are part of this story, so it's best to read them in order for full enjoyment.
Happy Friday, my bookish friends! First Line Friday is hosted by Carrie at Reading is My SuperPower!! I am also linking up with Gilion on Rose City Reader for Book Beginnings. This is where you share the beginning of the book that you are reading. This week I am reading the final book in the Elite Guardian series, Chasing Secrets by Lynette Eason.
